LLG Design Philosophy
LLG titles focus on offering interesting resolution mechanics, quirky character creation systems, and as many random roll charts as possible. I want to provide systems that are fun to play with and easy to push to the side, allowing players to become fully immersed in the game itself.
Bespoke Mechanics
Different game genres and settings deserve a system that captures their dynamics and vibes, so LLG eschews one-size-fits-all mechanics. From the bouncy d12 beachballs in Surf's Up at Uranium Beach to the jaw-cracking Four Knuckle Mechanics of Midnight Mayhem Metro, LLG titles will effortlessly get players in the groove.
No Compromise Safety
Table safety is a foundational piece of all LLG titles. Safe players are engaged players and a GM that is comfortable with their table will be able to really give it their all without fear. No LLG titles is ready to play without safety tools and guardrails in place, so have no fear. Every LLG title is designed with an unbridled love for games and a dedication to the act of creation. Put simply: LLG titles come from my heart and soul. Every line of content to the smallest rule example are crafted with the utmost care. It is my sincere hope that my joy comes through when these games are read and played.
Who I Am
Howdy, I'm Jay (he/him), reside in San Antonio, and I love tabletop roleplaying games. I believe that TTRPGs are the most wonderful way to connect and I love how they provide me a medium to share a piece of myself with others. My favorite part of gaming is when memorable stories, moments, and jokes are created through the interaction of comfortable and engaged players. I am a self-proclaimed ham at the table, but redeem myself by turning the spotlight on my fellow players whenever I get a chance. There have been very few systems or settings I have not thoroughly enjoyed and will obsess over any set of rules set in front of me.
On a personal note, I am an unapologetic Aries, blissfully own so many RPG books I had to give them their own room, and watch weird old TV series. Besides TTRPGs, my life revolves around my wonderful wife, who provides the gorgeous art for all my publications. That's right, I married my art department. I am excited to meet fellow gamers and have been described as suspiciously friendly, so feel free to reach out and say hi!
